Who Are Pickups for Peace - and Why We Support Their Work

When supporting humanitarian efforts in a conflict zone, one of the most important questions donors ask is: “Who is actually delivering the help?”

At For Their Future, we believe effective aid depends on experience, trust, and proven delivery. That is why we support and work closely with Pickups for Peace (P4P), a UK-based charity that has been delivering humanitarian aid into Ukraine since the war began.

An Established Humanitarian Organization

Pickups for Peace was formed in response to the urgent need for reliable transport and aid delivery into Ukraine following the outbreak of war. Since then, they have become a well-established humanitarian organization with a strong reputation for action, reliability, and integrity.

Their work focuses on getting essential supplies directly to communities and organizations that need them most - safely and efficiently.

How Pickups for Peace Operates

Pickups for Peace runs large-scale humanitarian convoys approximately every six weeks.

Each convoy typically consists of more than 30 donated vehicles, primarily 4x4’s as well as some ambulances.

Before departure, the vehicles are fully loaded with donated aid, including:

  • Medical supplies
  • Food and nutritional items
  • Bedding, clothing, and hygiene products
  • Essential welfare equipment

Convoys depart from the United Kingdom, travel across Europe, and continue directly into Ukraine, delivering aid to verified recipients through trusted local contacts.

Why Experience Matters in a Conflict Zone

Delivering aid into a country at war is not simply a matter of transport.

It requires:

  • Knowledge of border processes
  • Understanding of security risks
  • Trusted local relationships
  • The ability to adapt to changing conditions

To date, Pickups for Peace has completed 25 convoys, delivering over 750 aid-laden vehicles to the brave people of Ukraine.

Why For Their Future Supports Pickups for Peace

For Their Future exists to support the long-term welfare of children displaced and orphaned by the war in Ukraine. To do that effectively, we rely on established networks that already have access, trust, and operational capability.

By supporting and working alongside Pickups for Peace, we are able to:

  • Connect with verified orphanages and care facilities
  • Identify real, on-the-ground needs
  • Deliver support safely and efficiently
  • Avoid duplication or unnecessary risk

This allows us to focus on what matters most — the wellbeing of vulnerable children.

Separate Organizations, Shared Humanitarian Purpose

It’s important to be clear: For Their Future and Pickups for Peace are separate organisations.

However, we share a commitment to:

  • Responsible humanitarian aid
  • Transparency and accountability
  • Protecting dignity and welfare
  • Ensuring help reaches those who truly need it

By working together where appropriate, both organizations increase their impact.

Why This Matters to Donors

For donors, confidence matters.

Pickups for Peace has demonstrated, time and again, that they can deliver aid safely into Ukraine, even under challenging conditions.

That is why we proudly support their work.

Working Together for Children’s Futures

Humanitarian work is rarely done alone. It is built on cooperation, trust, and shared purpose.

By supporting and working with Pickups for Peace, For Their Future helps ensure that compassion becomes action, and that action reaches the children who need it most.

Because rebuilding futures requires experience, trust, and people willing to go the distance.
